Physicists are scientists trained to understand the interactions of matter and energy across the physical universe. They generally are interested in the root or ultimate causes of phenomena, and usually frame their understanding in mathematical terms.
Physicists are physically frail, but have powerful mental statistics. They have the best Logic in the game, and have Memory second only to Chemists.
Energy Generation. These scientists oversee power generation on base. For each level of Physicist, a character produces ½ a point of Energy. An outpost must have Potential Energy available to make use of this Energy (for instance, a Solar Array produces Energy based on solar conditions. For every point of Energy it generates, it provides ½ a point of Potential Energy; Physicists can 'fill up' these points of Potential Energy turning them into Energy).
Physics. Found under the Science menu or replacing the Science menu if it is the only Science known to the character, Physics allows a character to manipulate matter and energy to damage, buff, and debuff others. When dealing damage, Physicists primarily deal Lightning damage. Their buffs and debuffs primarily alter how quickly or slowly a character may act.
Physicists are fairly limited in what equipment they may equip.
